Vanguard sprung from a desire to create tailoring in a perfect way; without all the stuffiness but always paying respect to the craft and beauty of traditional tailoring.
Company founder Mighel Critten started out his journey studying menswear design at London College of Fashion in 2004. Whilst doing apprenticeships on and off Savile Row throughout his studies, Mighel perfected his craft and went on to set up his own bespoke tailoring service in London. As a young up-start in a conservative world he prided himself on delivering suits and looks that were modern yet traditionally handmade; fun yet functional and built to last a lifetime.
Moving to India in 2017 Mighel set up a workshop that makes the finest handmade suits, with a perfect mix of modernity and tradition Vanguard produces for some of the most reputable tailoring houses in London. Mighel personally trained a team of craftsmen and craftswomen the intricate art of the Savile Row standard of bespoke tailoring. Quickly realizing there was a large and burgeoning market that would appreciate the finesse of a Vanguard suit, Mighel launched a visiting service in Delhi to again work directly with customers.
Since inception Vanguard bespoke has gone on to launch it's service in Mumbai, Dhaka, New York and (returning to where it all began) London.
Mighel is based in Delhi and personally visits all the Vanguard locations on a regular basis to personally meet our patrons.
