Although Vanguard Bespoke is a relatively small company, employing just over 20 craftspeople in our workshop we take our corporate social responsibility very seriously.
A trained tailor and cutter himself Mighel places huge value and respect in the craftspeople that create our suits.
This simple moral code of respect reflects in everything we do.
Respect for our craft and it's traditions.
Respect for our brilliantly talented craftspeople.
And ultimately respect for you, our customers. Giving you the knowledge that your bespoke pieces have been crafted in a respectful & pleasant working environment.
At our workshop we work five days a week instead of the usual six that tailors and many other professions in the subcontinent work. We firmly believe that everyone needs two days rest to spend time with their families and recharge the batteries.
All our staff are paid the Delhi living wage or above. As opposed to the minimum wage which is the norm for tailors.
We are engaged in a project with a women's empowerment NGO, providing apprenticeships to women in our community with the final aim to have a totally gender balanced workforce at all levels by 2021. The norm in subcontinent tailoring workshops is that only men do the more skilled and thus better paying jobs.
All of our fabrics are sourced from reputable mills predominantly in Europe. We ensure throughout our supply chain that the principles of the Ethical Trading Initiative are in place.
And finally buying bespoke is in itself socially responsible. We create garments to cherish for a lifetime. Tailor made for you & with enough fabric left inside to allow your suit to grow up or down a size with a few simple alterations if required.
