How to dress for a Christmas party in India

Much like a lot of our fellow Delhites and our friends over in Europe we know some Christmas parties will be coming soon. So close after Diwali festivities and with wedding season in full swing this time of year can feel like one long holiday!
While Christmas jumpers are all the rage this time of year in the US we like to be a little more well dressed for our Christmas gatherings. Now is the time to prepare, below are some tips to get you ready and keep you looking dapper over the period.
1. Check the dinner suit or Sherwani you plan to wear well ahead of time.

It may need a freshen up at the dry cleaners, a good press or a visit to your tailor for a little tweak after all those gym days or big dinners!

2. Play with festive tones.

While the Christmas tuxedo we made for one of our customers in the photo above may be way too over the top for most people, you may still want to channel some Christmas cheer. Take out anything you have in red or green tones, such this gorgeous heavy wool casual blazer in a deep wine red we made recently. Team it up with a pair of jeans, a white shirt and you're ready for the work Christmas party.

3. Accessorize.

Adding a festive coloured pocket square, tie or even a pair of socks may be all you need to channel some christmas cheer.
A metallic bow tie is a great option, for those who like to be noticed.

Or a pocket square like this with a subtle print is just enough to give a nod to santa and keep it sophisticated.
4. Ooze effortless chic and invest in a roll neck to wear with your suits during these chilly months. Roll necks are a great alternative to a shirt when you want to look smart but not too formal.
A pale grey tone like this will go with every colour or blazer and look fantastic on it's own with a pair of jeans. Ideal for a day to night look when you don't have time to pop home from the office before a friday night dinner.
The look won’t work, however, if the suit is ill fitting and the roll neck too big, so ensure your suit is perfectly tailored and the roll neck is a snug size!
